The Sinking of the Lisbon Maru

is the narrative of the almost 2,000 British POWs on board the vessel when it sank off Shanghai on October 2 1942. It documents the fates of all on board, from the fall of Hong Kong through to death or liberation - and for many of the survivors, beyond.
